Addressing installation standards within the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry is a huge task that requires a joined up approach from those reputable businesses that operate within the sector.
Whilst the building industry is largely regulated, The Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installers (or BiKBBI as we're better known) is the only organisation that is dedicated to KBB installations, the associated development of standards and the specific accreditation of installers within the sector.
The Installation Standards Partnership (iSP) initiative is focused toward reputable retailers within the KBB sector, regardless of size, and will become one of the foundation blocks required to achieve positive change over time.
The initiative addresses the task of installation standards in three ways:
- Independent accreditation of professional KBB installers;
- Development of KBB specific installation standards; and
- Support of retailers and their installers, to deliver the best possible service to their customers through support, guidance, development and governance.
